What's new

Your customers now have PlotsFarm accounts

PlotsFarm accounts are live. Mention it next time you email your CSA members — one sign-in covers every farm they buy from, and they get a new way to reach you through an in-app inbox.

Until last week, your CSA members got a sign-in link by email every time they wanted to manage their subscription. That worked, but it meant: one link per farm, one card on file per farm, one set of preferences per farm. A buyer subscribed to three growers had three separate threads to keep track of.

We just shipped buyer accounts: one login, one card on file, one notification preference set, one place to manage everything across every PlotsFarm farm they buy from.

What this means for you

  • Your existing CSA subscribers keep working exactly as they do today. Their sign-in links still work. Nothing breaks. They can upgrade to a full account at their own pace — there's a banner on the sign-in-link page that walks them through it.
  • New CSA signups will increasingly create accounts. The public subscribe page on your /farms/<slug> URL now offers a "Sign in" option alongside "New here? Subscribe as a guest."
  • You have a new inbox at /csa/messages where buyers with accounts can reach you directly through PlotsFarm. Daily digest email goes out each morning at 8am farm-local time.
  • The directory at plots.farm/find is the start of a buyer-side way to discover farms. It's off by default — toggle it on at Settings → Public page when your offerings are ready to take new customers.

You don't have to do anything. If you want to mention the new account feature to your existing members in your next newsletter, the URL is https://plots.farm/buyer/signup.
