Set up in the app, paid to your bank

Stripe Connect runs inside PlotsFarm: identity checks, bank verification, and deposits all happen on your payments page, never on a redirected dashboard. Buyers pay by card for shares, store orders, and wholesale invoices. Your payments page shows the balance and every payout to your bank, and a push tells you when one goes out.

Deposits

Saturday's sales, deposited

Saturday's store orders and the week's share charges settle into payouts to your bank account. A push on your phone tells you the amount when one goes out, and the payments page shows your balance and your payout list. If a buyer opens a dispute, a banner on the same page counts it and points you to Stripe to respond. You do not log in to a second product to find out whether the money moved.

Buyer side

Subscribing takes no account

A member picks a share on your public farm page, enters an email and a card, and is subscribed. No password, no account creation; a magic link brings them back to their portal to skip, pause, or update a card. Buyers who shop at more than one PlotsFarm farm can create one account, save a card once, and use it across every farm, with notification preferences per farm.

Retries

The card expired. You do not chase

A failed share charge retries on its own at 24, 48, and 72 hours, with a plain email on the first failure and again if every retry fails, each with a link to update the card. After a seven-day grace window the subscription cancels itself rather than running up a debt. When the member updates the card on one subscription, their other recoverable subscriptions pick it up, and you can charge again by hand from the member's page when they text you that it is fixed.

Orders

Ready, then collected

A store order is paid at checkout, so fulfillment is only two taps: ready, which sends the pickup email, and collected, which closes it. Wholesale works on terms instead; the invoice carries its due date and the buyer pays from the link. Either way the payment and the order share one record, so you never match a bank line to a scrap of paper. Cancel a store order and the refund goes back to the buyer's card from the same screen.

Reconciliation

Payouts you can trace

Open the payouts tab and Stripe's own balance and payout components, in PlotsFarm's colors, show what has been deposited and what is still on its way. Every share charge, store order, and wholesale invoice keeps its own payment status inside PlotsFarm, and a reconciliation job catches a webhook that went missing, so a payment never sits in pending because an event was lost.
