PlotsFarm for flower farms
0.5 to 5 acres · cut flowers
Dahlias in Bed 3, zinnias on a two-week succession, a bouquet subscription that delivers Saturdays, and a florist who wants 200 stems by Thursday. Stems are counted, not weighed, and they do not keep. PlotsFarm plans the successions, counts the harvest at the bed, runs bouquet shares like CSA shares, and sells the extra bunches from one farm page, all on one login.
What it fixes for flower farms
The problem
The zinnias all came on the same week in July and nothing is ready for the August weddings. Continuous bloom means a sowing every two weeks, and one missed sowing is a bare month.
What PlotsFarm does
Successions dated from the first cut
Start from the Saturday you want the first bunch and PlotsFarm dates the sowing backward from it. Stagger the planting every two weeks, or whatever interval you set, and each sowing gets its own sow and cut dates and tasks. The Gantt by bed shows where June goes quiet, and the plan-health rules flag a succession gap while there is still time to sow.

The problem
Stems are counted, not weighed, and they do not keep. Twelve bouquet subscribers expect a bunch every Saturday whether the dahlias cooperated or not, and the billing lives in a payment app that knows nothing about the field.
What PlotsFarm does
Bouquet subscriptions run as shares
Count stems at the bed on your phone; each cut becomes a lot with its own vase life, so Wednesday's dahlias show as expiring before Saturday's. A weekly bouquet subscription is a CSA share with a Saturday delivery day: set the season, the price, and when the charge fires, offer a market bunch and a statement bunch as variants, and let members skip from their portal.

The problem
A florist wants 200 stems of white by Thursday, the same week the subscription needs its bunches, and you are promising stems off a count from Monday.
What PlotsFarm does
Event orders from the same cooler
Put bunches and single bouquets on your public farm page beside the subscription, with a weekly order window so you cut to orders. Every product is bound to a harvest lot, so the page never sells stems the subscription already holds. Buyers pay by card, the order arrives as a push, and the pick list says how many bunches go to each pickup.

Crop planning
Successions by cut date, not sow date
Start from the Saturday you want the first bunch and PlotsFarm dates the sowing backward. The library covers cut flowers alongside vegetables, with spacing and days to maturity you can override once for your farm. One species can be two crops, so the sunflowers you cut and the ones you leave for seed heads each get their own window. Your bed widths set the row count, not an assumed 30 inches.

Bouquet subscriptions are shares
A weekly bouquet subscription is a CSA share with a Saturday delivery day. Set the season, the price, and when the charge fires; offer a market bunch and a statement bunch as two variants; let members skip the week they are away from their portal. A failed card retries at 24, 48, and 72 hours on its own. Your veggie share can deliver Wednesday and your flower share Saturday on the same roster.

The extra buckets, sold by Thursday
Single bouquets, bunches, and dried wreaths sit on your public farm page beside the subscription. Set a weekly order window so you cut to orders instead of hoping, and bind each product to a harvest lot so the page never sells stems you do not have. Buyers pay by card with no account. Orders arrive as a push while you are in the rows.

Counted in stems, aging in days
Harvests log in the unit you cut in. Each one becomes a lot whose shelf life drives an expiring badge at three days, so the cooler tells you which buckets go in Saturday's bouquets first. Actual against expected per planting shows which variety underperformed its row, and a count typed wrong on Wednesday is fixed from the phone on Thursday.

Walk the rows, the desk catches up
The iPhone app is built for the cutting morning: today's tasks, harvest counts at the bed, a photo observation when the thrips show up, and a Pest scouts entry pre-filled with the last bed and pest. Scan the bed's QR code to land on it. Photos and voice notes upload in the background even when signal drops between the hoophouse and the barn.
